Ringing is an excellent all-round activity for your wellbeing:

Fun and social enjoyment:

  • Enjoyable and exhilarating.
  • Meditative – Relax and de-stress (great after a busy day).
  • Social wellbeing – Make great and lasting friendships.
  • All-year, all-weather activity.
  • Sense of belonging – to your team and the worldwide ‘family’ of ringers.
  • Feel welcomed as a friend anywhere you visit to ring.

Mind and body:

  • Gentle aerobic activity – good for the heart but not strenuous.
  • Improves core strength and provides a good stretch.
  • Tones muscles, particularly in the arms (and may reduce bingo wings!).
  • Also good for leg muscles at towers with lots of steps!
  • Improves co-ordination and agility.
  • Exercises the mind.
